Worst translated movie ever: Austin Powers en français! Horrible! I could barely watch the film in English to begin with, and then French... ouch...

When I was in Germany we watched the Simpsons and Hook in German. Neither sounded anything close to the actors who are in the english versions.

I will admit, movies translated with a different voice for the actor is strange. However, when a comedic film is translated and the jokes are different or the jokes don't make sense in that language... it becomes very stale.

Disney's The Lion King, for instance, worked really well when it was translated, as do many cartoons. Films with unfamiliar actors work well too. I think it's the confusion of your brain mixing one person's body and another person's voice that sets things astray.

Hmm... well, I like DVD's because I can watch them in French or Spanish if I feel like it... which is why I'm angry with Peter Jackson for only putting LotR on those discs in English...

I love it here. They have great professors who actually care about their students. The school has lots of clubs to join such as a sci-fi, anime, student society chemical engineers. The students are very mixed in cultural backgrounds and other areas even music. If you go down my dorm hall you can hear everything from rap, country, rock, island, and other things. I have made a good number of friends but so far no girlfriend partially because I am not fully looking and the female to male ratio is 3:7. I am so far not sure if I am going to stay in aerospace engineering but if I do switch I will switch with space science.

I think most colleges are pretty diverse in thier students music choice if nothing else! Music really is a gigantic part of society. (i dont really know what that had do with anything lol but i felt i should throw it in for some reason)
