That seems to be the one thing that hasnt really been affected by the budget problems.

I especially like the station they put in the middle of the place. Unfortunatley it is not for us and we still have an old station. But I do have to admit, with Enterprises new renovations and especially that new mocr it is awesome.

That new station as far as i know will be for everyone when its done. It looks amazing. The training center will never look the same again thats for sure. I remember reading in the 88 brochuitre that the training center was set up to resemble the one in houston when it was originaly built but i guess they are now going for the more realistic space mission instead of the training center looking like the one in Houston.

When I was there the Atlantis MOCR had been moved to right beside the simulator.

I'd love to see some current pictures wish they were available somewhere. IT would be great to see the progress in the renovations as they are happening.

I am going to take a lot of pics on my digital camera (more than usual) while I am there because the new renovations look awesome to say the least. I can give you some of them.

Please for me get lots of pictures of the renovated Enterprise flight deck. I've seen a few but none show much. From what ive seen it has more of the l;ook of the new glass cockpit. But i'd like to see as much of it as possible.

Ill be sure to get those pics. It is really nice. And all of the screens show a different angle as if you were really on an orbiter. The old ones just all showed the same thing. It is pretty cool.

I always hated how the view was the same on all the screens. once you were in orbit it didn't really matter, but it was still kind of annoying.

Yeah, I get all excited when the roll maneuver comes up on the missions. I look up at the window above my head and it is pretty cool to see the clouds turn. Then again, I am easily amused obviously.

Wow that does sound cool. I guess i never really noticed all the front screens were the same. Probably because as a pilot i was too busy doing other stuff.

Yes, you were probably flipping switches for one of those 50 or so checklists you have. But the MS's do not have much to do until MECO at 8:30, so I find looking out the top window entertaining.

Well when i was there i don't think they even had anything in the top windows. But your right you have way too many checklist to do most of the time to even look out the front windows although i did take a few glances every now and then.

I think the top window in Enterprise may be a new addition. At least, I didn't see anything there prior to the new renovations. I may just not have noticed anymore. Well at least it is more realistic now. The monitors in mocr show a cool animated shuttle launch too, complete with roll maneuver, my favorite.

Well the windows were always there but they never had anything to show something in them toill the renovation.

The new window monitors are sooooo cool though. Now if they only got that fiber optics thing going so that every 45 minutes the lights would change. Smiley told me something about that.
