9 more days of school!!!

Well i took technology classes all 3 years of middle school. Then i took drafting all 4 years of high school. I really loved the drafting classes especially the last 2 years when it was all done on computer.

As a small private school that's only been around for about 5 years we don't have anything like that.

Well that stinks. The high school i went to actually had students from the other area high schools come to our school to take some of our technical classes.

We are the largest school in our district so we get kids coming in from all over the district. Some take special ed. but most come to get a wider choice of options. Our school about 900 students and our grad class has 260 students.

It's kind of funny because we have 350 students but right down the street is Ben Davis, the largest school in the state, which has over 4000 students 10-12

I don't know how big my school was but our graduating class had about 235 or something like that.

High schools in Edmonton and Calgary have over 3000 students and there graduating classes have over 800. My high school is the only high school in my city (besides the Catholic JR/SR high) so it serves everyone in the city.

There are sooooo many schools in Indianapolis. There are a bunch of public schools (They have their own athletic league) plus a ton of private schools too. The senior class this year is 64 I think. Last night we had academic awards night and so far between 26 of them they have received almost $800,000 in scholarships, and there are a bunch that they haven't heard back on yet.

Well in the city where i live we have 4 public high schools mine was the least crowded of them but i dont know what the student population total was.

my school's pretty small. we have students from 7 towns because in vermont..thats just how it works. and our school is a little less than 100 students. my class has 92. i dont know how many seniors there are. about the same.

Well all the cities around here have atleast 2 public high schools in them. Hampton isnt the largest city in the area but its decent size.

In smaller communities there is only one school and it goes from k-12.

Well in my city we have 4 high schools, 5 middle schools and i believe its 10 but could be more elementary schools.

We have six elementary but one goes up to grade 8 and one goes up to 9. We have one Junior high and one senior high. We also have a Catholic elementary school and a Catholic Jr/Sr. high school.

I wouldn;'t even begin to guess how many private christian and non schristian schools we have. I can think of 4 private christian elementary schools, 1 of which is catholic and includes middle school as well. I know of one protestant christian high school and one catholic, and one as far as i know non religious rivate high school. I'm sure there are more but thats all i can think of.

Our high school is fed by about 7 or 8 different privite christian elementary/middle schools, but there are a ton more around here.

We don't have any private schools in town. The Catholic schools are funded by the government. There are some private schools in the bigger cities. But most schools are public.

theres a christian school in the next town over thats realllly small, like their graduating classes are usually 12 kids, and then theres a bigger catholic one in rutland which is one of the bigger..town/cities in vermont.

Well in the US the government isnt allowed to fund religious schools. However a controversial bill passed last year that gives vouchers to families to send there children to private schools who wouldnt normaly beable to afford it.This included christian schools. Ofcourse the ACLU and other groups were up in arms about seperation of church and state. Inititialy i liked the idea but the more i thought about it i dislike it. Not because of the fact it includes religious schools but because it allows the government to get there hands into private schoolswhich have traditionaly been better than public schools in education. If the federal government starts getting into the private schools they are likely to go the same route as the public schools. Just my opinion so ill stop venting now.
