It was actually very little work, I'd already done some previous research on the topic so i did most of it off the top of my head

That sounds cool. One of the coolest things i git to do was judge a NASA essay contest a few years ago. Essays from students all over the country.

Actually yes its called the NASA Student Involvement Program or NSIP there are several categories for elementary middle and high school levels. The essays are judged locay then winners on that level nationally and national winners actually win a trip to space camp.

You know what? I think I read about that on the NASA website one time. I even thought about doing it, but as I said I strongly detest english. The essay to apply to NASA SHARP was really pushing it for me.

Well one piece of advice for you or anyone who ever decides to do it is make sure you do what the contests ask for. If you don't the judges will put it aside after the first look and it wont get a second look or even read for that matter so make sure its in the right format asd specified by the contest.
