During the 24 hour missions you got to spend time in all areas orbiter, mocr and station and you did get some time to sleep over in the hab as well.

It would be fun to sleep in the orbitor!

It would be fun to sleep in the orbiter but it would be a little uncomfortable and noisy in the way its currently configured.

I don't think they actually ever slept in the orbiters...I think they rotated out with another crew and slept on cots or something.

Actually they went back to the hab and slept for a while then someone would come wake them up and they would rotate through diffrent areas during the mission.

that still sounds like alot of fun. it'd be cool to sleep in the orbiter but then pda issues come up if there are two sexes onboard

Well it wuldnt bother me either but the counselors may have smething to say about it.

well though in space they all sleep in the same space so you don't think those issues come up there as well? maybe, though, they could put males on the flight deck and females down below and have a counselor onbaord, or something like this?

I doubt its really an issue on real flights becaue the men and women are professionals and have been working together for years in some cases. Also most astronauts are married.

Yeah, a married person would never cheat!
But seriously, a guy about a year ago wrote a book saying that NASA was having astronauts have sex aboard the orbiter. It cited documents, etc. but I don't think it was ever accepted. I dont beleive him anyway. I don't think they want to turn NASA tv into , well, nevrmind...

Well theirs always the chance but i wouldnt believe what the guy said anyway.

I think it would be kind of difficult to do. I mean the shuttle doesnt have much privacy and i think it would be kind of hard to get in the mood with 4 or 5 other people so close by.

well i was kinda wondering how the zero gravity would affect things...

It would be interesting to try but i think it would be difficult with the lack of privacy aboard current space craft.

how did our talk of EDM's turn into a discussion of zero gravity sex?

Our EDM this year was so fun. I really had to fight hard but I was able to get into MOCR. It was awesome! I got an electric shock from the fax machine. I also had a hypoglycemic reaction and went crazy, and I had to be restrained!
