The camp food I had when I went to an outdoor camp 6 years ago was horrible. Space Camp is so much better than it. (I thought I would bring it back to space camp)

Well i think most of the people here have only been to camp since the new cafeteria. Well i went 3 times in the days of the old cafeteria you only had one choice of a main dish and the food was lousy. Although when i went to AC we ate lunch over at the AC area grilled hamburgers hotdogs and chicken which was actually verry good but unortunately they don't do that anymore.

I think the remodeled cafeteria opened in 98. It was supose to offer more choices which it does and shorten the lines which it didn't. The only thing it did was make it so all the people waiting in line were now inside the building. The way it use to be it was a typical cafeteria line along one wall. The line typicly ran from the door up the ramp and around through the cafeteria layout by the wall. Lines were almost always out the door. The room they have now with the food counters wasn't there it was just the single line. Where as now the line wraps around the inside of the cafeteria going into the one door and out the other. It really never seemed any faster to me but it did get everyone inside.

The lines are long no matter what. I just got used to it.

They aren;t long in the off-season. That is my favorite time to go. It snowed over New Year's. That was cool.

Maybe it's just because our team's schedule was so different from everybody else's, but I think there was only a line like twice the entire week.

Well last time i was there it was crowded on wednesday and thursday and then friday morning. Then the majority of the people left except for a total of 4 asa teams and some parent chold pilot copilot teams. So friday afternoon and evening, saturday all day and sunday morning and even afternoon were pretty empty. Then it was crowded again sunday night and monday morning when the camp was full again. Didnt have to worry about monday afternoon because we ate lunch at a nearby park after going to Marshall.

There was only one day where there was a long line. It was at breakfast and it only took 10 minutes to get through. The line was all around until the cafeteria exit where you return your trays.

Well atleast the lines are all in the building now. It use to be they went out of the building most meals.

Yeah, I think it may be a scheduling thing. We always seemed to be behind the red tagged kids because they eat earlier. But some mornings we did something for 30 minutes and then went to breakfast and it was much better.

Well it sounds like the scheduling has improved some. We never had the whole camp at meals or anything but it seemed like it sometimes, Plus throguh in the AC kids the lines could get rather long. I guess they have worked it out better now though. My team always had breakfast before we did anything else in the day.
