i try not to look. i just take my shower as quickly as possible. that's another good thing about an off-season camp. you can take a 20 min shower without people outside waiting. during the summer, you get a 10 min one in before people start getting upset. and since there is such a long line for the bathroom, everyone's morning routine gets screwed up, then you get to breakfast late and become part of a line that extends beyond where the bakery used to be. and then you become late for the entire morning's stuff. all thanks to a certain group of people that just cannot seem to get downstairs on time...grrrrrr...
have i mentioned how much i LOVE camp!?!?! lol...

The first year I went to camp we were on a significantly different schedule from the rest of the teams so we were always able to take nice long showers without having to worry about other people wanting in. Plus you could use two of the "stalls" (if they can be called that).

The nice bathrooms in the Hab are hidden over by where they make the Parent/Child groups sleep. They keep those in a little better shape, and they're all stalls. My room always went over there, and we had those bathrooms all to ourselves. A little farther to walk, but worth it.

About half of the times ive gone i had crappy bathrooms and the other half i had the good ones, the problems with the summer season is that all the bathrooms are busy no matter what side your on. I can deal with the showers if there are the curtains, i dont do the open shower room thing lol.... Either way i dont think showering at camp makes it any less enjoyable
i was IN room 406 last time!! wheeee. is the bathroom youre tlaking about the one with like 5 actual stalls instead of the open room? i liked that one, but the first timei took a showerin there i left my stuff on the ground, and it got wet. so maybe you should bring a waterproof shower caddy or something, i had a nylon zippy up thingy. but something plastic could be better.
where do the parent/child people sleep? i think they were on another floor when i was there .

that was my room for christmas camp. yeah, its the one where there are two curtains and you can change in them. they're nice. though you do need something to hang your stuff in. mine kept falling when the people next to me would take their stuff off of the divider. then it gets wet and i get angry... ...lol.
i have no idea where the parents and kids sleep. im thinking its by the end counselor rooms. but i know they tend to change.

When ever i go to camp i put my clothes in a garbage bag and cinch it tight. That way if i need to i can set it on the ground and my stuff will still stay dry. It works really well, ya'll should try it lol.
I was across from the good bathroom on my floor at X-Mas Camp. Found a roach in there (tiny little thing, actually). Anyway, I've always hated the showers that were just curtains, I like some privacy.
i was in room 206....& @ our little end of the hall, the bathroom w/the stalls was more private......but considerably nastier; the open bathroom thats like a sick movie & reminds one of the shower scene out of forrest gump is very disquieting......but cleaner.

when i lived in texas, we had those all the time. it was kinda cute: my dog would try and chase them and kill them. he would proudly take them over to his water dish, drowned them to ensure they were dead and then leave them stomach up in the middle of the kitchen floor so when we woke up, we were greeted by this incredibly disgusting creature. he tried to do his part.
though when i was at camp last july, arlisa and i took a walk around camp one evening and they were running EVERYWHERE!!!! i started freaking and shes like see why you're not supposed to have food upstairs knowing i had a box of teddy grahams. i spazzed. though it hasn't hindered me from bring food again.
thats a joy of living so far north. they die before they get here.
