2001 and 2002 were way different. There was an extra day, no Marshall tour, and a picnic in 2002. Also, some of the lectures are different. The people change and not all the same counsellors come back. I went the same week both years but they were totally different.

Today I feel a little depressed. I think it is because I am going to USSRC on sunday knowing that you will not be there. I miss you guys. Plus with the way things are working out I probbaly will not go to camp this winter beacuse nobody has called my back for a job interview.

Well maybe you should call them back thats how i ended up getting an interview and a jon at one place. Just contact them to see the status of your aplication or better yet go in and ask. I did that i had an interview 3 days later. And i remember going to the USSRC as a tourist a few months after the last time i was at camp and it was very depressing to not have my old team or my counselors there with me. But i still had fun and actually got to give the toru of the space camp training center to a group of other volunteers from the museum i work at.

Chris, Smiley will be hanging out on the TCF you could probably find him. As for Stevo, I don't know how often he hangs around there. He came up there looking for me the last time I went to camp, but I wasn't at the UAT. I can try and tell him that you will be there so he will look out for you.

Going there as a tourist can be very depressing. The hardest thing for me was to see the tcf although I enjoyed just looking at it. I wanted to be doing something there though.

Well when i was there as a tourist i got to go onto the training center floor and even into Endeavour and Enterprise to show my group around it was so great i loved it. Especially being in Enterprise again even though it had only been a few months.

Well I am afraid to go as a tourist because it would be too sad. Oh the memories. You know? I would probably call someone in advance and go around on the TCF anyway. I think I have given them enough money to do that by now.

Well we had the curator of the USSRC giving us the tour he use to work at the museum here a few years ago and he showed us stuff i never saw at camp. But he let me give the tour of the training center floor it was so awesome.

That does sound cool. I would just let myself on the TCF and try and find someone I know (which wouldn't be too hard). I dunno though, if I actually made it onto the TCF, then I would have to question their security. Of course, I could always wear....THE LANYARD.

You could probably get away with anything by wearing....THE LANYARD!

I seriously think that is how I have been mistaken for a counselor before. I mean, I wear it and any of the counselors that don't know me (not too many) do a double take. I mean, THE LANYARD started out as a way for me to keep up with my name tag because I have lost it sooooo many times. Then it became a way for me to keep up with my wings after I graduate. Lluckily i found the wings from the first three times I went. Then it just grew into THE LANYARD!

I'm working on my own little lanyard. I have several pins and I also found all of my previous wings.

Well good for you. Please take a moment to realize that your lanyard will never be THE LANYARD. Anyway, still thats cool. I like looking at other people's lanyards actually. Usually the counselors are the only ones that really have anything on their lanyards, so seeing a kid with one is cool.

LOL Sara sounds like you started a trend. I remember something the AC counselors did when i was there back in 96. All of them went through what was essentially the AC program as part of their training so they all had wings so they use to all wear them on their name tags.

There are some counselors that wear tons of wings on their lanyards or their jackets, but rarely have they earned them all. Some counselors wear their wings that they got in training and some wings from the program they are a counselor for, but rarely do you see one that earned em all.

Well at AC they only wore the one pair they earned in training which tended to fit whatever program they worked with.
