Duffle Bag and Flight Suit

Motts and I both carried our duffle bags with camera and other items in them. When I did the EDM I had my wallet and camera in pockets of the flight suit. But I took the camera out when I was working on the satellite. The funny thing was both Motts and I where the MSs during that first half of the EDM so it was kind of our thing.

ooh i wish i had brought my camera up in the arm with me on the edm. i left it in my bag in my little drawer on the mid deck though. i never even realized that the pockets in my flight suit would have been big enough to hold it. oh well. did ya get some cool pics?

Well to be honest i did get a few good pictures but either i didnt take that many or some didn't turn out but then i was getting low on film that night too. Infact my last photos were taken right after the edm in the training center we got one big group shot and then out in shuttle park. I did get a shot of the 4 girls in the shuttle with me during the edm. I'd gotten some shots of me and others in enterprise and the station earlier in the week. I think i took more group pictures than anything else because our team was so close. I also got a shot of the pilot and commander from the first half of the edm when we went up to the flight deck for a quick briefing before the start of the mission.

i worked on the satelite as ms 2 on suspension and it was christina i think that was ms 1 and she was playing with my sunglasses and when she put them back she didn't rezip the pocket and the fell down into the rear bay and Nat had to go down the ladder to get to them... lol 8)

Well thats something i never had to worry about. Not much chance of that happening whil;e your sitting in the pilots seat on the flight deck.

True and i don't think NASA would apreciate you having to possibly move the whole shuttle to get it back. Ofcourse it would just become one more piece of space junk in a huge swarm.

I took two diffrent pairs of sunglasses to camp over the years. Both were pretty much identical though. Both aviator style sunglasses. The first pair i took to AC and they looked really cool with the green flight suit. Everyone there had a pair of sunglasses of some type. Infact our team actually took 2 pictures one with and one without the sunglasses unfortunately they never gave us info on how to get the copy of the one with the glasses it would have been cool all 11 of us infront of the F-14 in flight suits with our sunglasses on. Unfortunately in the 2 years before i went to ASA someone sat on them and broke them so i got another pair which i took to ASA and still have a wear today.

I am totally attached to my sunglasses. I wear them on top of my head all the time, else I would lose them. 8)

Wellp atleast at camp when i wasnt wearing my sunglasses like when i was inside a building i'd hang them on my dog tag chain or if i was wearing a flight suit i'd hang them from my pocket.

This year I'm going to take a backpack with me. Although last year, we all crammed our stuff into about 2 or 3 people's backpacks. Maybe this year we can rotate who carries one.

I always take my backpack with me now. It is so cool with all of the space patches on it. Yay, I just got voted most likely to bring random NASA stuff to any class conversation by my 10th grade class. Haha, its so true though.
