hey monkeynautt i told my mom to wash my flight suit and she wasn't sure if the colors from the patches would run or not. i guess i should tell her to wash it on delicate setting since i dont want to take any chances!!

I am soo happy to find out that im not the only one who would do crazy things just for the love of space!!! And just for the information i asked a space camp counselor and they said that thier flight suit had survived many washings. I hope that is of some hope to you.

Well, when in doubt, dry clean only!
...though I'm sure just washing it alone in cold water would be fine...

Thank you!! Per your advice, I just washed it in cold water on the gentle cycle. Then I dried it on low heat. Everything turned out just fine. It's all good

I would hope that the material they make the flight suits out of would be good enough where they wouldnt catch on fire.

Actually realflight suits are made out of Nomex which is fire proof but dont try anything with the ones we get thier like 60% polyester or something either way its not fireproof!

Well i know these flight suits arent nomex but they should still be good enough material not to catch fire in the drier.
