I just noticed that next year it doesn't look like ASA is 6 days but the cost is still $999. I don't know if this is a mistake or if they have reduced the days but increased the price.

Well most times during the year its not 6 full days anyway. Its ussualy only 6 days if you count the day you arriver unless its during summer where they added the extra day. Maybe they just arent having that extra day next year but then its probably kind of early to have those dates locked down too.

It's all through the summer were it is still five days but $999. They have the dates until August up.

Well i guess they just arent doing the 6 day sessions anymore next summer. I personally wish they would go back to the 8 or 10 day programs they use to have with Academy Level 2 and if they do go back to 24 hour missions when the renovations are done i would think they would have to extend the length of ASA.

It still could change but this is the first time I noticed it.

Your right! I hope they just don't have the dates quite right yet. I really hope they didn't up the price.

That would be really sad. It's really expensive to begin with and if prices keep up many kids won't be able to experience camp.

Well unfortunately Space Camp has never been cheap and its getting so fewer and fewer people can afford it. I know several people who would love to go but can't pay that kind of money.

The cost is why it took 4 years after i found out about camp to be able to go.

The cost is why all of my trips had 2 or 3 years between them. The sad thing is fewer people will be able to afford to go with the bad economy and the rising cost of both camp and travel.

My travel this year was less than last year. I have to fly out of Calgary though. I have a 3 hour drive and then 3 flights but it saves me over $400. If I flew from Edmonton it would cost $1200 which is 200 more than last year for the same flights.

Unfortunately neither the cost of travel or the cost of space camp appears to be going down any time soon.

I guess it can be an advantage to live within driving distance, but then there's the cost of the hotel since there's no way I could be in a car for 8 hours and then go right to camp. My family is going to go to FL while I'm at camp this year though. I'm mad I will miss out on family vacation, but there's no way I'd give up camp.

I don't think I really have room to talk what with you guys talking about how often you can go to camp and all, but I do know that the summer programs are still 6 days. What would really stink is if the off-peak camp sessions started costing 999 like all the peak ones.
