-when you make whale calls, but there is no one to answer you and everyone just looks at you like your insane
-when you see a group of kids and say their names and they look at you like "how in the world did she know my name".....meg
-when you feel sick and ask if you can go to sickbay
-when you are packing and you asking what the weight limit is and if food counts
-when someone is sick and you ask if they are really sick or if it's just another anomaly

Ok, so I have come up with my own version of this topic the past couple of days....

You know you've been in Mexico too long when...

-You automatically start counting anything and everything (such as pizza rolls) in Spanish
-Everytime you hear someone yell 6 you automatically yell 7 (my role call number)
-You start reading the shampoo labels in Spanish without thinking about it
-You automatically start reading the cooking instructions on the pizza rolls in Spanish
-You dream in Spanish
-You wake up speaking Spanish
-You answer the phone "Bueno?"
-When it's really late at night and you're really tired you start speaking Spanish

My list isn't quite as entertaining as your all's but I hope you enjoyed it.

Je parle FrEnglish, a great combination between bad French and bad English. It's quite hilarious. I am sure I have written some FrEnglish in some of my posts. The results of schooling in French and then switching mid-way to schooling in English... adding to the messed-uppedness of my brain. ;)

wow....nice....well, try picturing 35 high school seniors who all forgot how to speak English trying to go through U.S. customs (the American citizens line where the officials speak no English) in Dallas. They don't have to much pacience and are some of the rudest people I've ever seen in my life.

eek that's not fun......haha but it reminded me of my ellis island simulation in 8th grade...they gave us all new identities and brought some of the international kids from my school now and they were yelling at us in their native languages...let me just say that being yelled at in german and japanese at the same time is actually pretty funny

In 2002 at camp we did a game called Bafa Bafa and there was like a made up language or something and one group spoke that while the other spoke english and we had to collect a set of cards . It was so funny because the english group had no clue what we were saying and we ended up just stealing their cards from them.

dude, Baffa Baffa was hot. I remember shouting "STIPPER STIPPER" and shoving people out of the room and taking hostages. We totally destroyed that game.

I totally played that with you! Except while you were leading riots i was scared and hiding lol. I hated that game with a giant passion. In 2003 we led a mutiny so we didnt have to play it lol.

Sara, everytime I've played Baffa Baffa, there's been a riot. I've never actually been debreifed, which you're supposed to be, and you're supposed to then understand both cultures.

Everytime, both teams have gotten so agressive that they just take us to our next activity.

lol, do you think that may be the reason that they no longer do it?

it always ended up with mass chaos. people in boxes, people yelling not so space camp appropriate things...lol. it was fun! so many games of tic tac toe. lol. ahhh, good times.

Well when you think about it... Who hasnt drawn on the tables before? I mean come on really. They practically ask you to draw on them with the paper and the markers and all. lol

lol, except for the signs that say 'please do not draw on the tables' and 'save a tree!'. :D

Shh. Those signs don't exist!
