It was kinda hard to tell, but I think the badges they had were blue which would be academy.monkeynautt wrote:There are also pictures on that site of kids in orange flight suits. They look like they are in one of the white rooms so my guess is we now wear orange flight suits for launch. These kids are academy age though so it could just be for camp and academy.

Hmm... those people's badges seem to me to say Camp... who knows.
I sure hope they haven't chanbed the colors AGAIN. It was only last year they switched to a darker blue... that'd be insane if they're orange (a color I happen to not be a huge fan of) now.

The less time spent in Orion Bay, the better.

Richasi's Camera
I have a Kodak DX4330, which is a 3.1 mega-pixel digital camera with 3x optical zoom. I *love* the camera. It's my second digital.ethlar04 wrote:Just out of curiosity, what camera do you have, im looking to upgrade from my old 35mm EOS and the pics you took look pretty good. Also, though i have never used it, i believe adobe photoshop has a function to make thumbnail pages for your pics, it might make it easier to took through. Thanks for the great pics!
As for thumbnails, i'm sure it would be easier, but I don't have that program. The nearest I have is Paint Shop Pro 4.16, which is from 1996 folks. =)
But, as for the pictures, I was very satisfied with what I was able to get in the daytime and inside. Overall I'm quite happy with them. Glad you enjoyed them!

Does anyone have a very clear, very high resolution image of the (Pathfinder) shuttle stack? Either a NASA link or a personal photo from camp would be fine.
I ask because I am planning a Space Day event for about 100 girls. We want to have a photo printed poster-size of a shuttle stack where you can see the ET, the SRB(s) and the orbiter.
We will then put leaders on the photo to pages describing the parts of the shuttle with some fun facts. We are doing the same thing with the ISS, although I already have a poster (from Space Camp) with the completed ISS on it.
PM me or post a message if you want to help.

One of these two might be good:

But I don't think that would print at poster size very well (maybe it will, maybe it won't).
I also have this 600dpi photo (warning: it's 1.25MB so it may take a while to load depending on your connection):

that might scale well...
If you needed an actual photo or negative to work from, I can't provide one for the first one, and I wouldn't be able to provide one for the second one for almost three weeks.
But, take a look...maybe one of them will work.

in response to the orange suit thing....now the TCF or whatever they call it the name has technically changed has white rooms that you go through before you ingress the orbiter...so NOW you get to put on orange pressure suits (orange flight suits) in the white room before you go in to make it more realistic. all i got out of it was that it was really hot but whatever. and you have to wear them for landing too. I hope that clears up any confusion.

Thank you Vincent for the lovely photos. I will show them to the programme coordinator and we'll see which ones, if any, we will use. I have a few NASA archive photos to work wth as well. If we do use yours, however, I will PM you with more details.
