Well if its done through and with the permission of space camp it should be ok. But i'm just saying we need to be careful we wouldnt want to push things too far and possibly have vincent face law suit and have to shut the sight down.

Just looked on the Web page and there is an e-mail addy for Merchandising. Maybe we should take a poll of all of us, former teammates, ect. to see if this is an idea people would be willling to go for. Then, we could mail (or hand-deliver) a letter proposing an alumni association to Space Camp with everyone's name at the bottom. We could include our logo ideas with it. To go totally wild...think about the possiblilties...A flyer in the graduation packets about the group with info on the message board, merchandise, newsletter, reunions, ect. Could be really cool and something to keep kids up to date and interested in coming back to Camp in later years.

hhmm.. i wonder how much bandwidth vincent has... just think... hab 1 currently has little over 60 registered members... now mass advertising and the other 200,000+ graduates decide to join... hehe he he h he... yeah... but hey... we should look into it...

unless vincent wants to coordinate this im willing... um i was thinking that if the core was around hab1.com then we could create tie ins to space camp for graduate information (flyers, etc.) and merchandise as well as coordinate allumni events such as a way to get word out for sales, allumni events at ussrc, etc.

Okay...well, if everyone here is quite intent on designing something, you might as well have the opportunity to win something!

Either I or we (probably I) will decide which "logo" of sorts is the best and that person will receive:

1) SpaceCamp on DVD
Image

2) An STS-107 Memorial Lapel Pin

So, while they'll be more rules to follow as I make them up off the top of my head, here's some so far...

1) Two submissions max per person...one with space camp logos, one without.

2) This contest of sorts will probably go until at least the end of April, unless everyone turns out to be remarkably fast at this...

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

I agree that it should be for the signing idea since thats the original idea we started with. We can work on other ideas later.

Yeah...I'm sort of on a long term growth schedule with this place right now! Basically, I'd prefer it remain relatively obscure (i.e. A lot of people is fine, but 200,000+ would kill the site!) until I can get out into the world, get a real job, and afford to buy and maintain a decent server with lots of available bandwidth!
