Ok well if thats the case maybe we should all take a look at the space camp web page in the gift shop section and see whats available and start throwing ideas around.

Let's do it! Can we have any of our resident USSRC folks help us out here? They would also know about stuff that might not on the online catalog.

Well hopefully we can get some help from counselors or some other space camp employee. They cpuld help us set the whole thing up as well as let us know any good items to use that may not be on the website.

If not, as I said before, we could rely on the first Hab1 member to attend Camp to pick out something using the ideas we've had. Is there anyone going in April who can take the lead here?

we also still need to get assurance from space camp that they will keep track of the object whatever it may be and allow hab 1 members to sign it.

Joel's cool. I'm sure he'll take care of it.

That sounds good. Just wanted to make sure we have that assurance before someone pays for something to use.

I don't know how the patch thing is going but I would like to offer my help if any is still needed. I do freehand art as well as CGI. Here are some samples of my work....

This is some of my CGI work. I hope to have the hand drawn stuff up soon.

I dunno if I like the idea of a plate or stein. They're rather limited in space for people to sign now and in the comming years. Especially if you let people who signed it before continue to sign it as they go through each time. I still like the idea of a patch. And I'm not talking about an embroydered patch that we'd need 100 of, I'm talking about the kind that is on paper... maybe even poster board that someone here at Hab1 can design by hand or by computer with logos and images of their own design. It can then be framed and hug at SpaceCamp if those folks so desire and or easily stored. Hell, I'll hang it up right here in my room!
I just think that would be the easiest thing. It would be personal and not store bought and our OWN.

Well a poster board sized emblemn would probably work better and wouldnt cost too much. We could still vote on it and decide what logo we like.

Wow, you guys are getting serious about this project, I love it! I was just thinking we could sign a plate or something and give it to Vincent as a kind of memento/thank you for setting up Hab1, and I'd like to still do that, but a custom poster that could go up at Camp would be fantastic! We could even have it copied at some point so we can all display it at home!
We've got the graphic artist (Thanks, Smiley!), now all we need is the concept, and then we can shop around for a company and quote to make it.

I just wish i was going to space camp this year so i could sign it. That and so i could get the free flight suit.

It won't be complete until you sign it, Jason!
I won't qualify for the free suit, but I think it's a great idea! Seeing that suit in their closet will bring back a lot of folks who might not otherwise think of going back (everyday, like us!)...

Why wouldnt you qualify? I thought any week long program qualifies as long as you register by the end of the month. I assumed that meant adult too.

There's a time limit, not after August I think, and it's not valid for Adult programs...I'll check and post the URL if I can find it again...

Well if thats the case i wouldn't qualify for it either. But i thought when i read the thing at the link vincent posted on the main page it didnt say anything about excluding adult programs as long as it was the adult ASA because it had to be 5+ days. That might mean it has to be a 6 day program and cant be a 5 day session and if thats the case would exclude adult programs since they are held after the 6 day sessions end.

Well i guess sign me up for the oops club. i just reread the offer and you were right the offer does exclude adult programs too bad. My flight suit hasnt fit me in 10 years.

Well i guess that means i either have to buy one of them from space camp. Or and i'm still hopefl i can find a cheaper flight suit in the right color and make a custom one with correct patch placement and more acurate patches in general.
