"Senior" Photos

We never had these so-called senior photos you mention. All we get for Year 12 is a mug shot wearing our school cap and gown attire. We get about a dozen of those taken and we choose which ones we want published in the year book. I think it is rather impersonal, and your senior photo idea is much better. I would have definitely had a flight suit photo taken because everyone knew me as "SpaceGirl" at school. Hmmm... afterthoughts can be so frustrating! (So, anyone build that time machine yet?)

I am pretty sure everybodys gonna laugh at me too but since thats nothing new i'm not terribly worried about it lol. Besides we figured its a big enough part of my life that if we are trying to capture my life so far it should be part of it. They look pretty cool we got them back last week....I thought it was a good idea lol, i am probably the only one but hey i guess i'm unique!

Sara anyone who knows you wouldnt think you any weirder for doing that then they already do. As for the senior pictures around here we have 2 sets of senior pictures taken. The first is during the summer which includes your yearbook shots. The guys get several shots in a fake Tuxedo top and the girls in a drape. We also get pictures wearing any clothes we want our choice. Those pictures are done the summer before you start your senior year. Then during your senior year you get your cap and gown pictures taken.

Well i guess it would be hard to do pictures in the summer time in a state where their is practicly no summer. I really wish i had thought of the flight suit idea though especially since part of my graduation gift was going to ASA.

thats a neat idea, wering your flightsuit for your senior pic. here our senior picture arent connected to the school at all, we just went to photography studios, most ofus in the fall and had pictures taken wearing whatever then we filled out our yearbook packets and gave them a copy of our senior pic and other pictures that we wanted to be included in our section that will be smaller than our senior pic. for one of my extra pictures i used a shot of me and 3 of my friends @ lunch during the edm with our flightsuits on.

While we do not get those infamout senior pictures, we get the mug shot as I mentioned earlier. We also get a short blurb of words below our picture with things like our best friends, favourite moments, pet peeves, etc. Of course, for mine my favourite moment was ASA, so I wrote that, and they got my words all messed up and the yearbook ended up being published with ASA as my pet peeve! (Oh, those yearbook people need to get their heads examined!) So at least I tried to get ASA in there somewhere...

Our yearbook only listed school activities next to your picture like clubs and sports. Unfortunately opur teacher never got us the forms to fill out for that information so i and many others had nothing listed next tio their names.

Wow, that would be great! However, in a graduating class of 300 pupils where the biggest focus was on sporting activities, our yearbook would have ended up being 400 pages long! (They were usually 150 pages or so in length.) Great idea though!
I wasn't a big fan of secondary school because I had to go to a semi-private school (blah) where about 90% of the student body had the mind-set that school was nothing more than a social activity. Oh, that irks me... Any-who... I'm happy to be out of that place! (Although I wish I were back there only for the purpose of being under the age limit for camp, of course!)

we dont get a whole page, there are 3 seniors per page, and the senior section is at the end of the regular yearbook. my graduating class is 97.i listed space camp under activities too.

Your still lucky all of my school thinks that school is simply a social activity! Our seniors dont get any pages in the year books, we suck lol. So do our yearbooks though so i guess i shouldnt be surprised.

Well in our yearbooks the senior pages are for the most part just like everyone elses. Lots of pictures on each page except seniors are in color and they have activities listed beside the names.
