The irony is that I'm now back to my original plan to make my own SC jacket as the one I bought just didn't work out (and I'm never ordering anything online from them ever again). Now that I have my mission patch in hand, I've changed the original concept from the photo in the first post. You'll see the results probably after this weekend...

If they made the light blue jacket in my size, I would have bought one when I had the chance. If anyone here knows where I could find a flight jacket pattern, or a flight suit pattern for that matter, I'd love to sew one from scratch. (Sometimes being small isn't so awesome.)

The flight suits aren't that tough to find for camp, as they went down to tiny kid sizes. As for the jackets, the smaller ones usually what I see turn up (only seen 4-5 of them in the past 2 years on ePay). There was an XL one but the bidding closed when i wasn't around to keep up and I just missed it.
This is a real one, Dick Scobee's, now on display in Seattle:

I'd love to get my mitts on one of the SC copies of this that'd fit someday...

I finally went with a slightly different version of my original idea for a jacket. I had these patches done up today, this is the final version, any future SC mission patches will go down the right arm...
