Well on the surface that sounds like a great idea but i'm not sure its verry practical. Especially renting something. It could get easily broken or stolen while at camp. Ofcourse its your money but i wouldnt do it.

Really?
I'd be quite interested to read those entries. I dont think I'd want to keep a journal though... I am always too busy having fun and being caught up in the moment. I guess it's the same reason I never take enough pictures (something I always regret!)

Well the jpurnal i kept wouldnt be that intresting to read. Most of it is just the simulators we did that day, the positions i had on the missions and other activities of the week. I wish i had kept a better one. Maybe when that anniversary comes up in april ill do another day by day account like i did on my space camp anniversary this year.

When I go off on a trip or something the most I'll write down is a bit-by-bit point of the things accomplished that day. And I might make a note about something I saw or something that happened and fill in the details later. So, that's probably what I'll do for ASA.
That'll be, at least, better than what I've done before which is nothing.
Usually, though, I allow myself to get cought up in the moment but pull back and allow time to reflect on the moment. I suspect that the first day I go back will be very bitter-sweet. On one hand it'll be another dream fulfilled but on the other... there will have been so many changes that I'll begin to feel a little let down. And it'll hit me that I can no longer re-capture the experiences of the past. They're gone. I'll get over that probably within an hour or so and pretty much be happy most of the time... snapping pictures left and right... starring off to some ungodly corner remembering when I had sat there at one time doing something in my notebook or something like that. All that sentimental stuff

Thankfully i'm blessed with a pretty good memory and i guess i should really take the time to write down my experiances at space camp while i can still remember the, This past July i did a day by day account of my first trip to space camp on the anniversary of each day i was their. Richasi this was before you started posting here so you might want to take a look it should be further down in the hab topics. Next year when my other 3 anniversaries come up again i might do the same. Its kind of a cool way to share our space camp experiances with everyone. And you could compare your experiance in 89 at camp with mine at camp in 91.

Well I for one haven't even been posting for a long time... I don't think I need to explain how hectic student life can be. I haven't had alot of free time to spend here; it's a shame because I was hoping to write a first-timers article and talk all about camp. Anyway Jason, your accounts were really good and I can't believe you remember so much. I don't think I can remember this year that well and it was only a few months ago. Space camp is so much fun though and everyday it seems I remember something new from it.
Jason I think you will soon have twice as many posts as I, the second place poster, have. That is really something.

Well we already know what most of your memories from the last space camp trip are. But i wont go into the whole PDA thing. Believe me i understand what you mean about being a hectic life as a student. And school is really just getting going. Well if i get enough positive feedback i might so another day by day acount for the 10th anniversary of my space academy trip next april. And its kind of scary that i have almost twice the number of posts as you.

Okay, let me post a real dumb SpaceCamp related dream (to get us back on topic here).
This dream was brought about once I saw the 1988 Application Guide, Space Academy II image -
http://www.azlance.com/~richasi/SpaceLi ... 988-12.htm
I dreamt that I was that person (only not female) looking up at that weird apparatus. At the time, I had no clue what that was or why that person was reaching for it so my mind skewed that around and it was some kind of floating orb and the little silverish indents in it were flashing big question marks and I had to somehow maneuver the thing to make it do something (I dunno what, it's been ages).
That's a direct Space Camp type thing.

Well the orb as you put it is a 100 pouns sphere that atleat when i went you use to play catch with wjile scuba diving. It was supose to demonstrate the ease of working with heavy objects in a microgravity enviroment. I dont know if they still use it or not.

It's still there but I didn't get to use it.

Good grief. A lot of you people have Camp dreams. I feel so out of place. Most of my dreams end up circlating more around the VASC. (I'll give LB another post to add to his already high count to explain to you guys what the VASC is) Too many wierd ones to count. But, one of the ones the I liked the most was a VASC/Jamestown/Camp dream. Another woderful Jamestown meeting at VASC... A motion ended up coming along to have everyone that wanted to to go to the Adult Space Camp. At this point, since it was a Saturday night that I had this dream (3rd Saturday of the month no less), I though it was really happening. I was flipping out in enjoyment. Of course, two things clued me in to he fact that it was a dream. First, I noticd I was wearing a gold diamond on my shirt lappel (Or however it isspelled). Second, I looked over to the side of the library after that and noticed all of Group Pheonix there. I knew then that it was most likly a dream. The only thing I hate is that it didn't stop then. Oh no. My evil subconcious mind took me to the first day of camp. Everyone that had decided to come was there. Then, just as the dream me stepped into the confinds of Space Camp, that's when the dream ended.

I had a dream last night about this big Space Camp conspiracy I uncovered and the Ice Palace and Thunderbug and cars being thrown off the roof and this place with crystal meth art, whatever that means. Believe it or not, all of this was related with the Space Camp conspiracy. And Space Camp was located in this old school and they were redoing the floors and they had replaced a small section of the tile and yelled at us for walking on it. And there was this girl in it that I'd met the other night and in the dream she originally uncovered the conspiracy.
And you said whitestar was weird...
