I love hockey too!! I played until I was about 13, and was pretty good, but quit in favor of tennis.

The Englestad is crazy!!!! I hate that they are trying to make the sioux change their name!!

ya but to have the money for that arena UND is not suppose to... and as for as i understond form when i was at UND that the sioux Nation does not mind... kids in the sioux nation get a HUGE discount, and we have a lot of respect for their cultur and tradition. i remeber when they came to one of the hockey gmaes and gave us a bow wow demo before the game on the ice.. ti was great!

Odd, I don't recall seeing dipping dots anywhere at SC when I was there...

I think the Dippin' Dots have been reduced to an automated vending machine next to the UAT. Back in the day there was a kiosk in that area where they were sold by a live person. A nice cold treat on a hot day!

That makes sense. The one time I've been to SC, it was after labor day so I doubt there would've been a person there at that time of year anyway. That said, it was very hot there at the time. I grew up in the Deep South but it'd been years since I lived there and I wasn't used to the heat and humidity anymore, and some ice cream of any type would have been a great thing, if we weren't constantly on the move like we were. If memory serves, the SC cafeteria had ice cream of some kind (I think it was in a pre-packaged cup) at dinner one night, but the fridge for them was sort of tucked back into a corner and several people on my team launched from their seats after seeing mine, frantically asking, "where'd you get that?"
I bet the dots would have gone over pretty well even then.

Ice cream (in the small cups) in the cafeteria is generally the dessert for lunch. Dinner has a cake or cookie.

In addition to the Dippin' Dots vending machines, there is now a frozen yogurt vending machine. It's really fun to select your flavors and toppings and watch the robot assemble it.

Where is that? I don't recall ever seeing the dot vending machine (or any other vending machines, now that I think on it) when I was there.

You wouldn't have seen the yogurt machine because it is new. The vending machines surround the UAT. The Dippin' Dots and a Coke machine are to the right of the UAT and several more face the UAT. There are also vending machines on the patio outside of Hab I.
