2002 i mean we had the acrew equipment briefing but they didnt really show us any actual equipment.

thts kind of strange i was at ac in 02 as a mach 2 and we did the whole aircrew equip burnin' nomex and everything

My counselor stuck his arm in some flame while we were making campfires to prove that nomex is actually flame resistant. It was pretty cool!

haha that reminds me of a fire story...

we had made our fire and were warming up our MRE's and our counselor took the MRE heater that comes with the MRE and threw it on the fire to see what would happen. IT WAS SO COOL!... everything got all sparkly and was so hot it was white.. and then we started throwing random things on the fire to see what they would do. it was awsome.

haha.... i didnt heat my MRE... mostly because i refused to eat it. except the skittles those were good.

but yes... buy an MRE everyone. then make a fire. then throw the heater in the fire. it will be well worth your effort. lol

Wouldnt it be advisable to heat your MRE first before you throw the heater in the fire? lol. I almost threw mine up cause we ate and like less than a minute after we were done we were running around doing seal ops. It was crazy and it was june heat so it was like...... wow. lol.

haha we didnt think of using the MRE heaters to actually heat the MRE's. we ended up having to boil water with the little food packets in it in a pot.

and i didnt eat. so you could hear my stomach growling all night. it sucked. but luckily the new years eve party was that ngiht. so me and alison stuffed ourselves with pizza. we both ate like 5 pieces and felt like throwing them up... lol good times.

we didnt get our pizza till like 11:30 cuz when we got to the cafeteria all that was left was icky mushroom pizza... and no one else was waiting for pizza so i promise promise promise i didnt take anyones pizza.
