Yeah, but it won't cut down on idiot clerks giving change on $500 George Bush bills. Especially if it was colored because that would just distract the cashier. I bet we'll have a lot of problems with stupid cashiers laughing at people with colored money and not accepting it. There are a lot of stupid people working behind 7-Eleven counters.

Yes, I have serious issues with people trying to give me or whoever change and they can't count. Then they argue with you when you are trying to tell them they owe you money or they gave you too much. Maybe this will help.

You do have a point their. And your right unfortunately some cashiers can't count and will argue to the death that they are right.

Because it comes out of their paycheck if they're wrong and they're stupid so they think they are right.

We also have $1 and $2 coins because they last longer than paper money so it save the government the money of having to replace the old bills.

We have 1 dollar coins too but i dont think they are minted anymore. You still find them ocasionally and they are still legal tender its just they are becoming rarer.

They just minted a whole bunch of one dollar coins not too long ago. You guys are right about cashiers not being able to count. My parents hate it so when I was little they taught me how to count change back to people when we had garage sales.

I don't see any of the one dollar coins anymore. I used to see them, but they were kind of a hassle to me.

I've got a bunch of them because my grandma went to the bank and put a bunch in our Christmas stockings and Easter baskets.

I believe they still mint a few coins with the face value of a Dollar but ussualy they are gold or silver and they are in reality worth more for their weight in gold and silver then a dollar.

Whats up with that? They should make them worth you know 1 dollar. Yeah....

by Boomerang
Well yeah they have the face value i think most gold ones are atleast 5 dollars but coin collectors and others will often times give you close to the coins value based on the price of gold or silver.

Well they should just make the coins worth however much they are worth. This is way too confusing for Sara. Stupid government.

The problem with that is that the price of gold and silver fluctuates alot even from day to day. Making those coins worth their weight would also make the value fluctuate day to day.

Okay then they need to stop making the darn things. Stupid government makes it all confusing.
