I must admit that there is an interesting idea... 60 mill for a marriage in space...

I mentioned the idea of getting married at space camp to my girlfriend since we have both been but she wouldnt go for it.

Yeah, I mentioned it to my boyfriend and suggested for a lot less money we could get married on the 'vomit comet'. He just doesn't understand, he is a non-space person. Its ok though.

Well my girlfriend is into astronomy but not really into manned space exploration.

Hey, we cant help who we like. Besides, I think NASA would be nervious about couples on the same mission. If push came to shove and you had to leave the love of your life behind to die, could you? I mean really, its a big risk. But, I would still love to get married on the ISS.

I'd much rather have my wedding at Space Camp...
...but the honeymoon should be in space, you see...that'd be the best of both worlds!

Thats pritty good. That would be fun, but I would have to do some simulators or something. Just being at space camp wouldn't do enough for me.

well you would be getting married, don't forget...

...some feel that's a pretty big event and probably would have other things on their minds on their wedding days than the sims (as much fun as they are)!

I think a wedding at space camp and a honeymoon on the iss would be great. Heck even a wedding at space camp and maybe a free honeymoon at the marriot next door. I dont know why people go to such expensive places for their honeymoon when most people spend most of the time in the room anyway.

I think its mostly for bragging rights, but also, you dont spend all your time in the room.

Well ok true not all of the time ius spent in the room but some of the best parts are. Anyway i know a few places that would be romantic and a nice vacation spot for a honeymoon without paying a fortune to go their.

Thats the smart way to do it. Enjoy yourselves, but not spend a fortune.

Well, you can spend a fortune and not feel too bad about it, if you plan ahead. A friend of mine currently socks away $1000/year for a future ring/wedding/honeymoon/etc.

...It's not a bad idea, really...

hey im just guessing but every body here seems to be in the same generation like 14- 26 well one place i would love to get married in is a traditional japanese temple but since this is about space you guys missed something. thinking realistically if erin and matt did get married in say 10-20 years mars would be the optimum choice. i mean think the first couple married on mars (oh and i better be invited) :D hey well be on mars i would guess 5-10 years from present if not sooner so save up dude

YEah, we did kinda get off on a tangent didnt we. Oh well.

by Vincent
Well, as many of us here know, that kinda just happens! :D

But it's no big deal...I kind of look at the PDA thread as an informal "off topic" thread in the Habitat forum...the posts are kinda not about Space Camp, and yet kinda are...so I really don't moderate this thread very heavily...

Well we've not only gotten off on a ytangent but weve set a record for the number of pages and posts for one topic. 9 pages now and still going.

I was watching the TV yesterday and on one of these talk shows they were interviewing the writers of a book on the dos and don'ts of PDA. I cant believe there is a book out on it. Maybe space camp should get it and use it as a manual.
