I read a couple of months ago in the CNN Space Update that the Chinese were gonna try to make it to the moon in 10 years. I think that is wishful thinking, but we have no idea what they've been doing so ya never know....

Well we made it to the moon in 10 years after the goal was set actually it was only 9 yeaes for us. Yes we'd already done alot of work toward space flight but then so have they. Plus they have the backing of Russian technology to help.

How much Russian backing do they have? Hmm communist buddies!

Maybe backing is the wrong wise mainly i think the chinese paid the russians to get some of the space craft designs. The Chineeses Shenzou space craft is based on the Russian soyuz and is evident when you look at its appearance.

Really? You know a partnership between the Russsians and the Chinese could be really dangerous.

I don't know that its as much a partnership as it is the chinese paid enbough money for the russians sent them the nessecary information to build their own. The rocket and the majority of the technology is still Chinese.

Still, it's a scary combo.

Well I wouldn't be too worried about what the Chinese and the Russians are cooking up sharing space vehicle knowledge. As long as the Russians arent' giving them some of the Smallpox virus they have or something weird like that, I don't think we have too much to worry about.

Well one thing to remember is that smallpox is a threat ofcourse but keep in mind the chinese also have missile and nuclear technology. And the sad thing is they got alot of it from us thanks to Clinton.

Okay, without going political on anyone...yeah the missle and nuclear technology is a threat, and right now many people don't like us, but I think the Chinese are just gonna go to space, I don't think we need to make bomb shelters.

Well hopefully your right. But it will be intresting to see if they can do it. And it will be intresting to see how their first flight goes.
