I agree, Benji. I stopped explaining stuff to my family. I tried to explain to them how a soyuz landing works and they got lost on the part where they dont land on a runway or in the water.

My mom didn't know the shuttle was reused or that it landed like a plane (flying brick?).

My mom thought that they made a new shuttle every time they launch one, too. I was trying to explain to her that that kind of money doesnt just appear. But she grew up watching moon landings, so she is still doing the Saturn V thing, so I can sorta see why she is confused.

Well i'm a tour guide and have training in how to explain stuff to people with diffrent backgrounds and ages and even i find it hard to explain things to people sometimes. Some people just never get it.

Yeah, a lot of the people at my school have different backgrounds far as space knowledge goes and they are always asking me questions. They even argue with me about things when they really have no clue as to what they are talking about. After that they warn other people not to challenge me about anything because I will totally beat them into the ground. I get really into it sometimes.

There are always people like that who will argue anything with you no matter how wrong they are. There was a girl here at the museum one day whpo was looking at the Apollo 12 CM ans no matter what the signs said or what I said she was convinced it was Apollo 13.

That is funny. Some people argue for the sake of arguing. I even do it myself at times. I will argue and even if I am wrong, I will not admit it because I stink at admitting I am wrong to anyone. I've gotten a lot better about it, but some of my friends will argue until the cows come home or somebody gets hungry or something.

Me, too, though I haven't gotten better at admitting it to people in person. It is easier on message boards. I won't argue anything unless I think I'm right. If I start become not so sure, I might slink away from the argumnent.

Ignore this post, it was a double (I think these happen when you preview your posts, it is weird).

I must have a complex or something because I really cannot admit I am wrong to someone's face to save my life.

I wouldn't know because I have never got in any sort of real fight with you. Or maybe the whole thing is human nature because I don't know of many people who will just admit they are wrong with any sort of ease in person.

Well hopefully we never get into a fight but my girlfriend can tell you the only person who even comes close to beaing able to argue like me is her. Atleast shes never met anyone else.

I don't normally like getting into fights, but we do at my lunch table all the time. Sometimes you can hear us yelling and screaming throughout the muffled chatter across the lunch room. We get into a lot of political debates and we argue until we have either turned red or refused to fight anymore and leave. Everyone at my lunch table is either ultra-conservative or relatively liberal, so it makes for a good argument. A lot of the people are also in debate.

Generally people need to get to work instead of sitting in front of a computer all day. But alas, I have no life except for right now because I am watching the price is right. Maybe eventually I will stop posting.

"The price is wrong, b----!" I love that movie (Happy Gilmore, with Adam Sandler). The idea that terrible hockey players can become pro golfers and make a lot of money is sort of reassuring.

Like like in Happy Gilmore. There are only two Adam Sandler movies that I really like and that has to be one of them. So he is really bad at hockey, but he can play golf really really well with the exception of putting. The best part of the movie is where he takes Bob Barker out. Haha!
