Stargate SG1

Post by ApolloXI »

I saw the flim and thought that the movie was pretty good, but the show is great. In Nashville on reg. tv they only show like the first three seasons. I was angry to hear that Dr. Daniel Jackson was killed off. But there is some great news Michael Shanks will be coming back to play Daniel again. I am still a Star Trek fan but Enterprise in not that great compared to SG-1.

Well i'm a big sci fi fan also. My two personal favorite sci fi shows are star Trek and Babylon 5.

I don't like SG1 because it's more like a soap opera than a sci-fi. The characters speak to eachother in unrealistic dialogues and the technical aspects are not well researched like Star Trek.

Have you ever watched Babylon 5? Its a good series if you watch it from the beginning but its hard to start watching it in the middle of the series because it was designed to be a 5 season running story line.

:!: As I said before in Nashville we only get seasons 1-5. Plus they seem to only have a number of epi. So I don't quite see what you mean. Parts of SG1 are technical or they are also thoeries that are not understand well.

Yes I know this is an old topic but I decided to bring it up again because Stargate Sg-1 just had it 200th episode and Sci-fi decided to cancel it after this season. Plus I have not posted in a long time. As I said once before I don’t have cable but I have been buying the DVDs of the series and I still like it. I fond that Stargate SG-1 is more tangible then Star Trek.
