Anthropology Thesis on NASA

Post by REDBeckyD »

All right, y'all - I'm working to finish research for a senior thesis in Anthropology on both the demographics of the Astronaut Corps and popular opinions regarding NASA and the Space Program. Want to help?

I have a questionnaire online, and if you have ten minutes to spare, I'd really appreciate it if you filled it out. Right now, my sample's limited to other students at my college, and having fellow space enthusiasts participate would certainly add some spice to my results!

If you're interested: Anthropology Survey

Thanks!

This thesis is for a Bachelor's. I'm a double major at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania - Anthropology and Biology, with a possible minor in Dance. After this summer, when I'll probably be returning to Camp as a counselor for ASA, I'll be starting a Master's program in Public Health, with a major in Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases, either at Emory or Yale.

Does that answer some questions? What is everyone else studying?

Yep that answers the question. I'm currently attending a local community college working on an AS in social science. I plan to go on anf major in either Education ot History and probably minor in the other. Then hope to get my masters later.

Thanks, Benji. :)

CNN.com had an interesting article too, which came about from e-mails that individuals had sent to CNN after Feb. 1... Some were quite, er, opinionated. I'll try and find a link - it made me sad to read some of the misconceptions that are obviously floating about in the populace. Although many of the people who wrote in were also in complete support of NASA and the Program.

That was an intresting article. It's good to see so many people support NASA still. I've seen a similar intresting mix of responses on aOL message boards.
