New Years Camp 2002-3

Post by perri »

Hey hey everyone!!!! This board is awesome! How come I never knew about this before? In case you don't know, I'm a BIG... ok, HUGE space camp fan ('99 Camp, '00 Academy, '01 Academy, '02 Academy, '02-'03 Advanced Academy) haha, what can I say, I can't seem to stay away! Well, don't have much to say, if you know me, I expect a response! hehehe, no pressure or anything....
Luv you all! (or should I say ya'll to all you southerners)

i tried for a scholarship to Academy in 1999 but didn't get it. I'm glad I waited though. ASA was way more fun than SA would have been. SCUBA and the EDM - best times I have ever had.

You'd be suprised how much fun SA can be. Maybe at the age you are now it doesnt seem like it but at the age of a SA camper youd probably enjoy it, SA has its good points like the motion cockpitsd with Endeavour and Discovery and the very acurate Atlantis cockpit which from what ive seen is actually more complete than Enterprise was. Sure you didnt have the scuba and the missions are shorter but it was still a great program.

If I had gone to SA I most likely would not have gotten to go back at all. My parents would have had to pay for it and would not do it again. I have paid for all of my trips. For the distance I have to travel to camp SA would not have been a good choice. I would have gotten more from ASA. I live over 2000 miles from space camp and that is direct. I takes a day to fly to space camp inncluding conections. In 2002 I left at 8am and got to Alabama after 6pm.

I went to ASA 2 times and SA once and i still think SA was awesome. You learn more about space history and SA and also get to be a kid more. It was great!
