NASA continues the teacher in space program

Post by Boomerang »

Although i'm sure most of you know that Barbra Morgan the back up for Christa Mcaulife as the teacher in space in 1986 will be flying this november to the iss this is just the beginning. NASA will soon be beginning a selection process to select 30-60 new teachers as astronauts to pick up where the program left off in 86. The selection process will be beginning soon. I'm glad to see the program continue and i look forward to the launch of STS-118 targeted for a November 13th launch. This also helps to fulfill the last part of NASA's new mission statement "To inspire the next generation of explorers... as only NASA can" Youll find the link to the article below.

Already had that idea too. That would be a new perspective on things.
