Actually the lake isnt that bad at AC. I swam in it alot at AC. The main swimming area of the lake is cloronated like a pool and thats where they ussualy do life raft stuff. The other part of the lake with the zip line and helo dunker isnt cloronated but they seem to keep it fairly clean.

Well i'm glad to hear your going to be certified in scuba. I always wanted to after oi got back from camp i just never had the time to do it. As for the AC Lake it only seemed like part of it was chlorinated 6 years ago but its been a long time so i could be wrong.

Well I just started my SCUBA open water course last night and had a blast. I have four more weeks and then I get to go on a trip to get certified by doing open water dives. I might be able to go to huntsville to get certified! according to my instructor, there's a really great rock quarry down there with lots of old nasa space junk at the bottom... remnants of the space age. it would be a great place to do my open water dives, and an excuse to visit the USSRC!

That would be a cool place to dive especially if you could identify something while down their and salvage it as a collectable. Somehow i doubt they would let you though plus it could be dangerous to try.
