Space Academy

hey everyone
its been a while since i created a subject so im going to!
has anyone here gone to space academy not advanced academy but regular?
i did! haha yeah...
as you can notice..i changed my aviator icon thingy...its no longer the shroom since it looked dumb LOL its space academy! cuz i went there. but im all sourrounded by asa people!
so did ANYONE go to regular academy and wana talk about it?

I've been to Space Academy (back when it was still Space Academy Level I) twice!

But that was some time ago...

I went to space academy when it was still called level 1. It was 9 years ago this past april, I was on the TRW Bravo team.

Since noone has posted here for a month i figured i should. As i said above i went to Space Academy Level 1 back in 1993. It was my second time going to a space camp program. The first had been to space camp 2 years earlier. Academy was a diffrent experiance from camp. At camp we had a fairly small only 12 people. Academy had about the same size team as ASA maybe ecen a little bigger i would have to go back and look at my picture to count the exact number. And the team TRW was split into two diffrent groups TRW A and TRW B. We only really worked together as a whole team for our moon base and for our shuttle missions. We also spent most of one day together because our day counselor couldnt come in that day. We pretty much did everything seperate. In a way i really dont like the idea looking back on it because it meant we never got to know everyone on the team as much as we could have. Also after having attended camp where we didnt have alot of freedom and had to go to bed pretty early we had alot more freedom and got to stay up much later at academy. Still not as much freedom as asa though. We also had some really cool counselor and our night counselor Liz was really hot. Ofcourse the shuttle sim was somewhere inbetween the total lack of realism in columbia and the verry realistic sim of Enterprise. Also got the first taste of the space station sims.

I have been to Academy when it was still called Academy lol.It was my first year at camp and i have been going back ever since i made reservations for next year today!

Well lucky you wish i was going back next year. 4 years is too long to go without not being able to go back. The longest before this was 3 years.
