How do you carry your stuff?

Post by Kemara »

How did you carry your camera, logbook, money, ect. while at Camp? I used a hip pack last year, but it was irritating to take on and off and hard to get things out of. I thought about using a small backpack instead. I wish they sold a backpack in the clothing package instead of the duffle bag. Any suggestions?

I always carried a backpack with me...just to keep a bunch of stuff I probably didn't need, but possilby could...an extra notebook, extra pens, etc.

As the logbook got smaller though, this became less of an issue...

...by the last year, I was carrying most of my stuff...wallet, camera, logbook, etc. in the pockets of my cargo shorts.

Cargo shorts are definitely the way to go if you don't want to be weighed down with all kinds of things to carry stuff in...purses, backpacks, etc.

...though you may still have to carry the logbook in your hand...

Same here. Cargo pants or the flight suit. But, most days, the flight suits were way to hot to wear (except when I was lucky enough to get cool air circulating inside of the suit before I walked out)

Most stuff i kept in my shorts pockets. I also had a camera case that hooked onto my belt so that took care of that. And ofcourse if i was wearing the flight suit i took advantage of its pockets.

Yeah my shorts had enough room for just about anything (i.e. camera, change, wallet, book, 20 oz. bottle of coke, etc, etc.)

Well ofcourse your flight suit gives you plenty of storage room but they are ussually way to hoty to wear all the time especially in summer.

Yes, the flight suit was hot, but two of the three time i went we had to wear them most of the time. I usually kept all my stuff in there. Cargo shorts also work, but i used a backback if i didn't have my flight suit on.
I have been to space camp four times and i hope to go to adult camp when i am over 21.

We only had to wear our flight suits for the EDM. Infact most years our counselirs encouraged us not to wear them all the time so we didnt all start stinking from sweat after a while.

thats cool, i wish it had been like that for us. we had to wear ours for all the missions, 1 hour and edm, and that usually ment wearing them all day. I wish that they had allowed us to roll down and tie off the top half. it would have made it so much more comfterble.

Well i know most treams did wear theirs for all the missions. For the EDm the counselors let us have a chance to go put them on before the mission. And our counselor didnt care if we wore them tied arund the waste some people did that but most people wore them corectly.

We had really cool laid back counselors. They didnt really care what we did and knew how to have fun right along with us.

thats really cool. most of my councilors were cool, but they all seemed kinda up tight about the rules. i think the funniest thing was reading the councilor's record book. they always had such funny comments about us and our views.

Our day counselor could be kind of uptight. We were her first team and she stuck to the book too much. Luckily our night counselor was ussualy around during the dat anyway and he kept it fun.
