Hurricane Irma?

Post by p51 »

Does anyone know what effects this storm had on SC? I know it's closed today due to the weather.
I've always wondered what'd happen if a really bad storm or tornado hit that vertical Saturn V mockup. I know it's well anchored but I have a feeling it'd rip the top off of it, at least...

I heard from a friend who lives in Madison County that yesterday was much ado about nothing. Given that Irma was downgraded to a tropical depression, my guess is that they had a lot of rain today.

Yep! We've had regular storm systems come through Huntsville in the past that were much worse. A whole lotta nothing here in Huntsville, thankfully.

Thanks, Vincent. I couldn't find much on the Huntsville new about the storm, so I took that as a good sign.
According to CollectSpace, KSC's visitor center is still closed as they have water problems. That's a bad time for that to happen for the European tourists who hit the area the late summer and fall.
