Well getting back on topic. In October of 98 i took a trip down to the space and rocket center with a tour group from our local space museum. It was 3 monts after i had gone to ASA. Our guide who was the space and rocket center's curator let me give the group the tour of the Enterprise and Endeavour it was so cool to be back inside Enterprise and beable to show them around.

Well I looked all around Enterprise's interior and did not notice any changes anywhere at all... Middeck or flightdeck. The cockpit was exactly the same as I remember it. As far as MOCR (where I was for EDM) there were still no changes whatsoever. The only thing new was a dry-erase board added on the left wall. That's it. So I don't know what became of the renovations/updates but I know they werent there. As far as Intrepid, well we tried to get in but it was locked. Ben told us that they were having trouble with it in that it didn't allow for anomolies. So I don't know, but it looks to be close to full size. The station is just as dumb as always but I could swear they moved the Columbus module...

Well i'm guessing the financial problems might have delayed the upgrades. As for seeing intrepis Vincents story has some decent interior pictures of it. And i believe Intrepis is a full size front section.

let me ask a question here... were the atlantis and the enterprise's mocrs at one time combined? they are right next door to eachother and i see many pictures of a mocr which looks as if it may be both of these combined.

I've never seen the Atlantis Mocr. I've been in the modr's for Discovery and Enterprise. discovery's is larger than enterprise but isnt as advanced in many ways. I assume Atlantis has one though because my old Space Academy Level 1 book list mission positions for Endeavour, Discovery, and Atlantis. The Atlantis lists Capcom as one where as i know discovery didnt have a capcom console and Enterprise is too advanced so atlantis has to have a mocr somewhere. Does anyone even know if they use atlantis anymore? I've never seen it being used in 4 years of going to camp.

Well something may have changed since i went to academy in 93 but when i went i was SSO on the discovery mission and Discovery had no capcom because i remember all of the mission control people were able to communicate wth the crew. I know because i had to get a fuel status report from the commander. I know Endeavour doesnt have one either because i was commander on it and communicated with sevceral flight controllers. Things may have changed i just know their wasnt when i was there.

Yeah things changed at least for 2000 because when i was in academy both Endevour and Discovery had capcoms and flight directors and such it was like a full MOCR.

Well when i was there Endeavours mocr was in a glass inclosure right behind endeavout it wasnt even close to a full mocr but it had the most important stuff. Capcom is a fun job but not absolutely nessecary. And all the Mocr's have flight director consels.

Atlantis's MOCR is right next door to Enterprise's and looks Almost identical on the inside.

Well i looked at my space academy level 1 book from 1993. I looked at my notes from lectures as well as the list of mission positions and when i was at academy the only academy sim that had a capcom was Atlantis.
