hi, everyone. I'm leaving for camp tomorrow, and I was wondering if anyone had some last-minute advice.
Also, I was wondering if they still do mission positions, and if so, how they assign them. If they do, I most want mission specialist. Did anyone here ever hold that position? What's it like?
I have to go finish packing now, so thank you!
Leaving tomorrow! :-)

I've not been yet so I had no advice and I was too busy with seething jealousy for not going myself until September...SpaceCanada wrote:Sorry that nobody replied before you left.
Ditto that!SpaceCanada wrote:I hope you are having a fantastic time and hope you will share your experiences here when you return.

hey caroline, hope you had a blast at camp, and please share your camp experiences when you get back! We'd especially like to know about the Orion mission (new sims - if you used them) and what those missions were like.

Sounds exciting! I'm guessing LMS-4 is a lunar mission specialist on an Orion moon mission? Space Camp has changed a lot so we would all be interested to hear all about your experience. Once you get settled back in at home and catch your breath, come back to Hab1 and share with us!

Yes, LMS is lunar mission specialist. The Orion mission was pretty cool. LMS's 1-4 start off on a lunar base (the mission is set in the year 2050) and do in-base experiments (LMS-3 and I did chemical reactions; LMS's 1 ad 2 did hydroponics) and an OLE (orbital lunar excursion; an EVA on the moon). But I honestly think I prefered being in mission control.

So what patches do the flight suits have now? I assume the shuttle patch is gone?
I'd love to see photos of any of this. There's so little about the current types of missions at camp now that the shuttles are history, I'm hoping to see photos of what I'll be working with before I get there in 2 months...
