Shuttle Mission Scripts

Post by Richasi »

And, does anyone have a copy or even a segment of the shuttle mission scripts? Specifically Columbia (Camp) and Discovery (Academy I)? Preferably from 1989, 1991. Hotdog, you may have these (I wouldn't be surprised). LOL

Thanks!

I don't remember them letting us keep those! They were in 3-ring binders and re-used if I remember correctly. Whatever we were allowed to keep, I still have. I know I have the mission booklet Level II Aerospace Track kids were given for Enterprise in 1994.

We weren't allowed to keep the scripts from 1998, 1999, or 2004 either, although for the 8-day adult camp we had to come up with our own mission plan.

Yeah, we weren't allowed to keep ours either. I was just curious if anyone had snuck copies out or were able to obtain copies over the years.

I'm curious how the old Columbia script read is all. Nostaglic and all. :)

I have a video of my 1989 Columbia mission that won Best Shuttle Mission award. Maybe I can transcribe some of the audio from that? Lord, it's been YEARS since I've watched that old video!

I did find a Discovery Flight Deck Checklist from 1992 though! Space Academy Level I.

Oh, I almost forgot. Here is the booklet Commander or Pilot positions got in Level II for the Enterprise mission, 1994. All it does is show you all the panels and switches. There is one page about how to use the flight stick.
