Jinx put Max in space - Jinx can send Max back!
Maybe in the remake, some kid uses his computer and internet to hack into mission control instead of a 1980s robot. Maybe in a nod to the original, his screen name is Jinx.
Only problem is, with space shuttle gone, what space transportation system would be relevant?
I'm afraid in order for a remake to be done right, it may have to wait until Constellation or whatever replaces our manned space program (China?).

Or Russia... that could work, seeing how ISS astronauts are being launched from there. Although, not quite the same.
And they could do the whole thing in IMAX. Haha. Actually, an IMAX film about Space Camp (a documentary) may not be such a bad idea. But I digress...
