I'M GOING BACK!

Post by Kemara »

Well, it turns out the adult alumni camp has been cancelled for this year, but I signed up for Aug. 21-26. My 35th birthday is the 24th, so it's a great birthday present! Plus, my parents will pay for me to stay at the Marriott. Even better!
I'll be mission specialist for the fourth time, but oh well. I should be really good at it by now. :)

Cancelled? Wow. I know many of my former team mates will be disappointed to hear that. Many of them attend the October 8-day camp every year.

In any case, the 6-day adult camp will be awesome! Have a wonderful time and let us know how it goes. :)

I think I had most of those same people on my 6-day team too. Yeah, I remember the folks from camper reservations were after them in 2003 to go ahead and sign up for the next alumni camp. I think they got some sort of discount.

Yeah, I had asked on the SC Facebook page and they said it was cancelled. When I called this afternoon, the receptionist said the same thing. I did make sure she understood I was asking about "the adult alumni camp that you can't sign up for online."

I'm a little bummed about being MS yet again, but I'm hoping I can SCUBA for the first time ever and I plan to try all the water activities which I've never done either. I can be a bit of a fraidy cat. Want to challenge myself this time!

Ha! The real challenge will be losing enough weight between now and then to look decent in a pair of shorts....not to mention a swimsuit! :)
