Post by toddy71 »

One of my counselors is one of my Facebook friends and he posted this around midnight last night:

12-Day Sign ups now open! First come First served! and must be AA alumni!

That's all the info I have. Call for more information about dates and prices!

12 Day ASA was bloody fantastic. You, of course, do everything you do at regular six day Space Camp. However, you also have what is called an "engineering challenge".

Basically, you have to design a way to get to space, all of the equipment (including a space suit), and a lunar base. Much of the time you spend at Space Camp will be used to work on the engineering challenge.

All in all:
-One 24 Hour mission
-Four AOA one hour missions
-Every obstacle of Area 51
-Scuba AND Aviation Challenge Mach 1 Sims
- Two sessions of swimming
-Engineering Challenge
-Museums
-Space Shot, G-Force, Climbing wall
-Rocket Park
-IMAX Theatre
-Don Thomas or Story Musgrave lecture
-All of the ASA lectures

It's a blast. :)
