A Canadian astronaut is going to be living on station next year. As a Canadian this is very excited as he will be the first Canadian to live in space for an extended time. Bob Thirsk is going to be on Expedition 19 and the first Canadian to use Soyuz. Julie Payette, another Canadian, is also going back to space in April 2009.

I got the e-mail notice yesterday. Woo!! Exciting indeed. I will be watching both missions ever so closely. :D
