Top Ten Things to Do Returning From Alumni Academy

Post by airkale »

10. Serve all food at meals in single serving portions on small paper plates.

9. Put up boxes, electronics, etc and make an orbiter flight deck in your bed room.

8. Take trips to get hair "Done" with Space Camp Barbie.

7. Sew Hab1.com mission style patch on clothes to wear in public.

6. Wander around the house with your eyes closed exclaiming, "Marco!".

5. Create parachute zipline from your rooftop to neighbor's pool and slide down it. If questioned why you are doing so, yell "You'll never take me alive!"

4. Scream "Tally-HO!" as co-workers walk past your office/cubicle.

3. Decorate your house/appartment to look like Hab 1, being sure to put space contractors signs above all your doorways. If you have roommates be sure to tell them that they are required to go to sleep at 11:00 pm and wake them up at 6:00 am.

2. Buy a strong rope, find a set of earphones, tie yourself off to a tall pole or tree and conduct EVA's in your backyard. If neighbors are in plain view, scream to them that your teather has broken and your drifting off into space!

1. Spend way to much time on Hab1.com, saying to yourself "I should be back in Huntsville!!!"

Lmao!!! That's great!
You should add:

11.) Get 3 big rings and duct tape a chair in the middle, find a neighbor and ask them to run the MAT for you...everyday.

12.) Find a big hollow cylinder, put chairs in it and hang it above someones pool. Get your neighbor kids to ride the "Helo Dunker" with you, if anyone asks scream "MAY DAY MAY DAY, we're goin down!" Assign random anamolies such as broken legs and VD to whoever is riding.

I saw Jeramy a few times today and asked if I could go on the MAT, she said no :( lol

Since I didn't see a #14:

14.) Construct a centrifuge and have "pass the Space Camp Barbie" competitions...winner gets to demonstrate how to properly wear your zipline harness.
^ not sure you'd necessarily want to win the competition haha

If you really wanted a "Fun Time", change the rules; instead of passing Barbie, tune your neighbor! I know you know what I mean, and Chris knows he liked it! lol please I'm joking.

- turn the air conditioner in your house down to 40 degrees to simulate the temperatures in the Hab dorm rooms

- when talking on the phone, use words like "roger", "copy" and "standby" to simulate comms with mission control

- when out with a group of friends, make them "count off" after returning from a bathroom or smoke break

- label all bathrooms in your house as "waste management". label all air vents "life support".

- paint the telephone pole in your front yard to look like a Saturn V rocket
