While I was down for the alumni weekend last weekend, I spoke to Boomerang about this great NASA simulation game from the early '90s that I used to be hooked on and thought I would share some more info about it here.
Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space, or BARIS for short, was a turn-based strategy game for the PC where you race the Soviets to the moon (you could also take the Soviet side and race the US). You take on the job as Administrator of the country's space program where you must dictate every aspect of the race to land on the moon, such as training and screening astronauts, choosing and researching hardware, and plotting routes and missions.
