I'm suprised nooine has said Earth for a favorite planet. Its definately my favorite. I mean its the only planet that we definately know supports life. We all live on it and its a wonderful place.

Well in the last month astronomers have discovered several new planets. One was about the size of Jupiter. unfortunately they still cant detect earth sized planets with curent technology.

Well even if we detected planets the size of earth and sent probes to them we wouldnt be alive to see them get their. Our decendants would hopefully beable to get the info but thats if they even care by then. The probe would take thousands if not millions of years with current technology to reach a planet outside this solar system and a considerable amount of time for the radio signal to return to earth. By then our technology might be so advanced that we wouldnt even beable to read the old signal or then their might not be anyone left to recieve it. Just a thought.
