last time at camp I took American.
Nothing could be worse.
out of the 8 flights it took to get me home, NONE of them left on time, in fact i was stuck by myself in Dallas for a night due to their inablity to leave the gate. Thats was pleasant.

The best Airline i've ever flown on was America West/US Airways. Its been the only plane i've been on in three years thats left on time both of the flights i had. Previously, I've mostly flown northwest who like to go on strike and/or delay and/or just cancel flights.

I'm a bit partial to United Airlines, as the time I flew to home to NYC from Dallas, they were awesome. Although we were delayed horribly, it was due to weather, and they kept us comfortable while we waited, and helped me make my connection, even though I recieved a voicemail telling me I'd been rescheduled.

I never had any scary close calls on any of my flights. I did have a pilot who apparently misjudged the length of the runway at HSV and decided to practically grind the tires right off of the landing gear... That was annoying.

I've bounced into that runway a few times. The most memorable was returning from Houston with a plane-load of Houston kids on a chartered Southwest Airlines jet (yes, this was during the failed 5th grade program and the "money" was there to burn). We came in really really low over the southern outer marker of the airport. Like two hundred feet AGL over the Tennessee River - heck it may have been lower. I remember thinking the treetops were awfully high.
There were a lot of nervous kids on board - I remember looking out the window and wondering what in the world we were doing flying along the river...
Made me really wonder what the pilot was thinking. Then, he pulled a tight hard turn, engines screaming to make up for the loss of lift as he put the plane into a good 30 degree bank and then BAM! we were on the runway....
Unbelievable.
