Id post this in the random facts thread but i dont recall hearing this story at camp at all. Apparently some of the panels in the Apollo 16 CM at camp were actually flown in the Apollo 15 CM.

I am not really that surprised by that,article, but I am a little shocked that it is not more widely known that NASA recycles everything they can. When I was in highschool (I believe right before or right after one of my trips to camp), they even raided the SRBs on Pathfinder.. but I won't talk too much about that, there is a whole thread somewhere in here on it. I live near Albany NY and there was a segment on our local news that evening about it.

I live on Pawling now.. but I am a Russell Sage alumna, so I spent 4 years downtown. Small world... you are the second person to ask me about my location in a week
