I had to recert today in CPR and AED use (though we dont even have an AED) and i think my arm is going to fall off... *grumbles about new actar manikins* The mere thought of giving blood makes me ache lol. I'm glad you're so dedicated though!

Maybe I'm weird, but I love giving blood! With the insertion of the needle and the flow and all that good stuff... it's just... yay! Sorry if I grossed somebody out, but I love it!

I agree!!! Yay for donating blood!! I can't believe that only 30% of first time givers give again! How can you not want to?!?!?! It's beyond me, I'm giving again as soon as I can!

Now that i can feel my arms again i probably wouldnt have a problem with giving blood. The problem i have is that whenever the option pops up i'm usually about 45 minutes from home and i dont want to try and drive home with less blood than i started with since i'm rather sensitve to slight blood loss from a nose bleed. I think when the high school has another one i'll probably give since thats literally like right in my back yard...

We had another blood drive at my school today! I got to volunteer at it. I escorted people around. I don't know if I was much of a help, but I enjoyed being there.

I couldn't give blood though. I have to wait at least until June 8th. My friend and I are going to try and give right after that, we need to make an appointment. I asked one of the nurses if they would make me wait to give again when I come back from New Zealand and they said I wouldn't have to. They weren't worried about New Zealand. So yay!! I won't have to wait an extra amount of time when I come back!

I cant imagine them caring about NZ since they're modern. When i worked the blood drive it was my job to intercept them from the walkers and then feed them. It was fun!

It's not determined by how "modern" a country is. They make you wait six months if you come back from anywhere in Europe, because of the fear of mad cow disease and stuff.

What i meant by modern was that they have many of the same policies on inoculation and healthcare and whatnot that we do. And yes Sara, I intercepeted the New Zealanders as they just happened to be passing by Litchfield and felt the need to leave with a little less blood than they came with. [Insert Sarcasm Smiley Here]
