I need to convince my parents that the 12-day program will be "worthwhile" and not all the same thing and stuff, yet I haven't really heard much about it...
So what's going to be different? Has anyone heard? I really need to convince my parents, as this will be my last summer being old enough...

The less time spent in Orion Bay, the better.

I don't know anything official, but some things I would add would be...
- more briefings on things like Russian Language (for the Soyuz module), Mission Control positions (more in depth), orbiter evacuation procedures, orbiter in-flight repair procedures, future missions to the Moon and Mars
- Land survival training (with practical application at AC)
- water survival training (with practical application at AC)
- more flight training at AC for the pilots (with more robotics/engineering stuff for MSs)
- a longer EDM
- longer mini-missions
- different/more guest speakers
- design a Moon/Mars mssion or a Moon/Mars base
I can definitely see how they could expand the programme from 8 to 12 days. I could even see a camp go for four weeks or more if they included a 7-day EDM! (The ideas in my brain are endless...)

Haha... wow, a 7-day EDM... that'd take a lot of special arrangement, for sure... if they could manage to not charge too much (which I'm already having a problem with on 12-day, anyway), then that would be sweet! The other things you say would make sense, though...
I emailed Michael Flachbart, and he's going to have a member of the development team email me with some details, though they are keeping some a secret for the surprise factor, like last year.
