Has anyone here heard any word from Space Camp about being hired as a new counselor this summer?
My hopes are way up and I'm getting all nervous now.

Well... I know no one on here knows me... except maybe vincent... but im Matt.. i got to Univeristy of Tennessee Knoxville, and got a fun little phone call today from the HR department that sounds like I will probably be hired to work as a counsoler this summer. Sounds like a similar situation happened that was posted in here last year, so I look forward to finding out for sure in a week or so!
i still haven't heard anything... although, to be fair, my application was only turned in last week.. so i dunno. i'm hoping though! i haven't really thought about space camp for a while, but reading this board has made me Reminisc a lot and i want this more than anything. i think i will be heartbroken if i don't get it.

I had submitted my application back in Jan. and again in March, and hadn't heard anything. So I gave them a call earlier this week, and had a phone interview the following day and received my official job offer today as a counselor. So if you've submitted an application and haven't heard back yet, my advice is to call and email them until you get an answer - showing perseverence is something they'll admire.

I spoke with Marion today, and here's what the deal is. If you want to work up top, you'll be a SIMs counselor for the entire season. If you want to work down at AC, you can be a team leader. I opted to be an AC counselor, as I loved that program when I went.
