Things missing from X-mas 8day.

Post by Drumrollz »

As many of you know, manythings were left out of the schedule from 8-day Christmas camp. Let's try and compile a list of them, so that we might try and make sure that they get into 12 day.

Here are a few starters
  • • Photo Scavenger Hunt
    • Mission Orders (in envelopes)
    • Operations Checkout Building

Hey,
The Xmas 8-day was a bit disappointing to all those who have previously attended, but compared to the six day program I'd still rather have the 8-day. The main thing lacking was the sense of management and complete control that Tony and Nathalie had over the program. If management would simple appoint a central person to head the program or the development of 12-day, I am sure that the program would be that much better. As for specifics, the picnic at botanical gardens was missing, the barbeque at AC (though that may have been a summer activity), the sense that it was not camp but actually training. BTW, I miss you all Atlantis team members.

Seperately. More effective, more paper, more annoying, more likely to make them come to their senses.

Basically, the way email at space camp seems to work is that it's the person's first name and the first letter of their last name.

I have yet to see an exception.

FYI - We never had the Photo Scavenger Hunt or the AC Barbeque during the adult 8-day programme either, but I don't think they could have really added to our programme much. We never took a post-EDM photo either, now that I think of it... mostly because we only had a few minutes to get everything ready for our debriefing and Graduation.

For the most recent 8-day programme, did you get Phil's highly intricate Space Suits presentation? Did you get to play radio hide-and-seek in Rocket Park? Did you get to do a 'fox hunt' to recover a black box? If so, where did they hide it?

Any-who... just curious about whether or not they made any changes to the programme...

PS - We had a pretty good sense of 'reality' during or programme and what we did. It helps to have real engineers and doctors and scientists on your team so the counsellors can throw advanced anomolies at us. Actually, it was a 'war' of sorts with the counsellors trying to find anomolies we could not solve - they tried everything but we conquered them all! (Minus the pee on Station, but that was a due to a computer glitch beyond our control.) We even had our own comeback for the counsellors if they were too mean to us... we can make little pieces of paper and tape them to things too... ;-) (We never had to discolse our hidden timebomb, but it was there if we ever wanted revenge...)
