Museum and Space Camp contest

Post by Carrie »

Hey all! I found out today that the science museum here in Syracuse is running a contest to win a trip to Space Camp (with airfare) for two children or adults! To enter, you have to sign up for their mailing list. Of course, I signed up right away! I hope I win, and can go back to Space Camp!

They're also going to be showing the Apollo 13 IMAX...got to try and go see it!

Here's the link...

Hmmm... I'm Canadian, but I'll enter anyway. You never know if they'll let me win...

Thanks for keeping us informed of the contest.

The week after my 8-day session there was a lady (in the 6-day) who won her trip through 'The Price is Right'. How cool is that?

Hey, maybe I should try to get on "The Price Is Right" and increase my chances!! hehehe!

Believe me, before this, Syracuse only had a few cool things...we had a speaker from NASA headquarters come to the same museum in November, and a couple years ago we had shuttle astronaut Rick Searfoss come to a sci-fi con.

I'm going to go see a talk by astronaut Marsha Ivins in January, but that's in Ithaca, not Syracuse...still, I feel lucky that there seems to be a run of space events lately...finally, there's something outside of New York City (they get tons of space stuff)! -C

I have seen the APOLLO 13 film in its IMAX format. While the film is shorter (to accomodate the IMAX film reels) it is truly spectacular! Anyone who has a chance to see it should!

Well, I now have plans to go see it Thursday with my mother and brother, while we're all together for Christmas...I'm psyched! I may also go with one of my co-workers later on.
