I'd rather hover around Captain for most of my career. My guess is that good captains make sure they fail the Overbearing Jerk test so they'll get passed over for promotions.Drumrollz wrote:Someday, P-Deck, you'll be an Admiral.
Or maybe I'm still sleep deprived after the 8-day. Yeah, that's more likely.

Good Day All:
I have finally scanned in and posted most of my photos from the Adult Advanced Academy 8-Day programme.
BEWARE OF SPOILERS
http://spacecamp.ibnerd.net/adultasa2004
I do not know if our shcedule was anything like that of the youth camps, but this is your forewarning that my pictures DO contain spoilers. I will try to sort through them all in the next week or two, but until then, Christmas campers beware!
Enjoy! Comments are always appreciated.

All spoiler photos, except for one, have been removed from the Hab1 Photo Portal.
I couldn't build up enough strength to delete my favourite photo from the entire week - the bubble head SCUBA! So, too bad... it's in there... and no, that's not me in the suit, although I wish it were! There exists only one picture of me in that special SCUBA outfit, and it is of me writing a purge message on SCUBA Steve's slate.
Enjoy! Let me know what you think.

Hi all! I'm new to the site and incredibly excited to have found a site to alleviate my Space Academy withdrawal! I more than likely have seen some of you, as my session was ending as the adult 8-day was getting started. I had a fabulous time - I was the Atlantis Commander in my first mission, and PROP in Mission Control on my second. I hope to go back to Advanced Adult Academy someday, probably as a Mission Specialist. I doubt it will be next year, though, as I'm hoping to go to an astronaut autograph convention, and possibly also the RTF Shuttle launch.
I look forward to chatting space and Space Camp with all of you, and possibly reconnecting with any Team Columbia (aka "Team Doomed") members who may be out there!
Carrie

Good Day Carrie:
Yes, I believe we have seen each other, as I attended the Adult 8-day programme the week when you were there. Our groups crossed paths a few times in AstroTrek and the mess hall.
You will most definitely enjoy the Advanced Space Academy programme, even if you do not go SCUBA diving. There is so much more to do and so much more to learn. You also bond together with your team more, if that is at all possible.
If you ever want to chat about the adult programmes, please drop me a line - either in this topic or in a private message.
Cheers!
PS - Space Camp withdrawal is normal...
